A woman's desperate journey to locate her husband who has been arrested and tortured to death as part of colonial power's effort to thwart the anti-colonial struggle.” (Didi Cheeka)The focus is less on the revolt than on the protagonist, who becomes a symbol of the crucial role of women in the revolution.
